The Yale Smart Outdoor Camera is easy to set up and use. It works with the Yale Home app. It features sharp Full HD image quality, a 154° wide viewing angle, motion-triggered recording, two-way audio, enhanced color night vision, and a spotlight that can be set to turn on when motion is detected. The Yale Home app lets you keep an eye on what’s happening in your home, even if you’re halfway around the world, and saves photos and videos for viewing locally or in a cloud service available with a separate subscription. Customizable detection zones and scheduling let you set the camera’s coverage areas and operating times so that common events, such as driving home from work, don’t trigger unnecessary alerts. The security camera can also be programmed to switch to privacy mode when you arrive home, for added privacy and convenience. In privacy mode, the camera doesn’t detect motion or record video. Privacy mode can be scheduled or set to activate when the Yale alarm is disarmed as part of the Yale smart security ecosystem. The camera is powered by a rechargeable battery. An optional USB power cable allows you to connect the security camera to a mains power source. An optional solar panel charger is also available.
