The Grundfos SEG.40.15.2.E.50B AUTOADAPT pump is a submersible pump with a horizontal discharge port, specially designed for the pressurized pumping of wastewater containing toilet waste. The SEG AUTOADAPT pump has a shredder system that breaks up the degradable solids into small pieces so that they can pass through relatively small diameter pipes.

The pump surface is smooth to prevent dirt and impurities from adhering. The pump is mainly made of cast iron. The clamping ring between the motor and the pump housing is made of stainless steel to prevent corrosion and to facilitate pump maintenance. The pump power cable also contains the conductors for the thermal protection switches in the motor windings. The cable is connected by means of a plug. The completely sealed plug connection prevents moisture from entering the pump via the cable if the cable breaks or the pump cable is handled incorrectly and/or carelessly.

Grundfos SEG AUTOADAPT pumps have an internal controller, sensors and motor protection. They only need to be connected to the mains voltage. If several pumps are installed in the same tank, the pump logic controller ensures that the load is distributed evenly over time between the pumps.

Alarm relay output

The pump has an alarm relay output. NC and NO operation are selectable and can be used for acoustic and visual alarms, for example, as required.

Anti-jamming system

The anti-seize system starts the pump at programmed intervals to prevent the impeller from seizing. This function overrides the dry-running sensor in non-EX versions.

Follow-up is possible at programmed intervals if there is a risk of surface runoff formation.
The Grundfos CIU can be connected permanently or remotely for changing presets, for advanced settings or for reading logs and operating parameters, such as number of starts and operating hours.
