The Labko® SAKO-2 Greywater System is intended to be used alongside a closed tank to either enhance or supplement the domestic wastewater treatment systems of residential and holiday homes. Toilet water is directed to the closed tank and other water (shower and washing water) is directed to the SAKO-2 Greywater System.

Dual drainage offers many advantages. When only greywater is treated in the land treatment plant, less nutrients and organic matter are absorbed into the soil. Similarly, the costs of emptying a closed tank are reduced when only toilet water is discharged into the tank.

The system can treat the greywater of approximately 6 people. When connecting the SAKO-2 Greywater System to existing septic tanks, the system can treat all the household's waste water.

If ground absorption is not possible, for example due to clay soil, a Sako-2 greywater system can be converted into a ground filtration plant by connecting it to the Labko collection piping package.
