Heat'n'Charge Smart FM eParking Gateway - 4G/Ethernet base station (modem housing) The eG base station, protected from rain and weather, enables the operation of the eTolppa/eParking system. Depending on the size of the parking area, either one or more Smart FM eG base stations are required for the field. The eParking system requires commissioning and a service contract. The base station and Heat'n'Charge Smart charging stations form a chained radio network, which is used to operate the charging field. eTolppa is an intelligent, remotely controlled heating and slow charging station. eTolppa measures electricity consumption based on the user and the station. It is recommended to install the base station on an Ethernet connection, but 4G is also possible. With the eParking.fi system, it is possible to get intelligent load management and various services for Heat´n´Charge Smart charging and heating stations, such as billing of consumed electricity per user. Enclosure ratings: IP44, IK08. Key-locking of the cover. Technical features, quantity and location of the eParking Gateway base station The eG base station has two antennas, one for ZigBee and the other for 4G. The 4G antenna is not necessarily used if a fixed internet connection (Ethernet) is used. The Smart FM eG base station is recommended to be as close as possible to the Heat'n'Charge Smart charging stations. The wireless connection works better the closer the eG base station is. If the parking lot is large and there are, for example, properties between the parking lots, it is worth installing more eG base stations. For example, in parking garages, one eG base station is installed per floor. The Smart FM eG base station is recommended to be installed on an Ethernet connection (at least a cat6 data cable is recommended). The eG base station connection can also be built via 4G. In this case, the eG base station does not require an Ethernet data cable. The operator is responsible for the SIM card. The SIM card's reception must be taken into account: for example, the reception is weak underground or inside a metal cabinet. In this case, a fixed connection is recommended. Heat'n'Charge Smart FM eG base station - Smart battery charging and heating The Heat'n'Charge Smart FM eG base station is quick and easy to install either on a wall, on a pole or back to back. For pole installation, you need a pipe flange (3413090), which you can also use for back to back installation. When you install two devices back to back (e.g. Smart FI and Smart FM), the two devices are installed on one pipe flange and attached to each other back to back with an aluminum C-profile (3420011). For wall installation, you need a Wall Mounting Plate (3420009), which has mounting holes and a through hole for cable routing. The cable gland is protected with a separate flange of one size, the options being the Grommet Flange (3413026) or the Membrane Seal Flange (3504824), which are available in Fibox's accessory range.
